hernameisboxcar: Sam Winchester - 2, 5, 8, 12, 21, 48,

Why Sam, though? lol.

2. I think regular!Sam has some ‘boring’ morning rituals. Get up a x o’clock; shower/wash face; brush teeth; count the brushes while brushing teeth; floss; have marginally healthy breakfast; read the newspaper; check bag/suitcase/duffelbag to make sure he’s not leaving anything behind; check Dean’s bag/suitcase/duffelbag to make sure Dean’s not leaving anything behind.

And some not so usual or boring rituals too.

- Check Dean’s ‘booze supply’ to assess just how much has been too much;

- Re-arrange the arsenal in the trunk so it’s always somewhat easy for them to ‘access’ top priority stuff;

- Clean their guns;

- Memorize rituals in Latin so that he’s got them on the tip of his tongue for emergencies;

- Look up reported bizarre deaths and obituaries;

5. I guess I covered that one up in the previous question? But I think Sam probably takes certain things seriously, like shampoo and hair conditioner. They have to be specific brands. His hair is shiny, therefore kind of oily, so he can’t go longer than 24 hours without washing it and it has to be specific brands, specifically for oily hair, okay.

Dean used to make fun of him because of that, but now Dean doesn’t care much, either way. About anything, really.

8. Sam used to indulge in normalcy. In paying bills, running errands, pulling all-nighters before big finals with a huge smile on his face. And even though he’s grown up and finally come in terms with being a freak, I think a part of him still takes pleasure in that sort of thing: having a beer, watching a football game and shouting abuse at the tv when some player misses an easy pass.

12. That kind that has information on it. Not that he can’t be appreciative of Literature, but Sam’s a practical kind of guy. He probably prefers reading books that will actually serve a purpose in the future. So, lots of foreign/creepy lore books, incantation and spell books, a few kinds of academic books on religion, specific passages of the Bible/Torah/what-have-you. Knowledge is kind of like a different type of ammunition.

21. Turn-ons? I am so tempted to say “monsters’. Like, you have no idea.

In all seriousness, though. Despite the whole thing about “Madison being the woman he finally loved after Jessica” and his obvious Oedipus Complex (no, seriously, Sam. Motherfucking text-book, okay), Sam’s biggest turn on seems to be ‘connection’. Dean’s more than okay with being an lone wolf (except he isn’t), he’s used to it, but Sam longs to connect, to assimilate. He tried that with normal people, but look where that got him. Now what does he connect with? Supernatural evil. Darkness. And when that feeling of belonging, of being understood comes with curves, dark hair and full lips? Well, how can a guy resist?

48. Chick-flick moments. With actual words. Be them angry shouts or just heart-felt declarations of love, Sam has no problems getting those feelings out.

Which makes perfect sense. He grew up with Mr. Grumpy and Grumpy Jr, who both seem/seemed allergic to feelings and their scary side effects, so Sam would naturally diverge from them on that (and many) aspects.

Luckily, that actually turned out useful. When your brother is Dean “Emotional Retarded” Winchester, being capable of telling them how much you love him or how hard are you going to kick him in the balls if he doesn’t get his shit together RIGHT THAT INSTANT is, quite literally, a life-saving kind of ability.
