lambofomg: endiness: Ok seriously? This is why I think anyone who likes/defends seasons 6 and 7 as the ‘best seasons evar!’ are high on kryptonite or something. If you go back to a season 1 and 2 mentality AND kill/get rid of/remove everyone around them ALL DYNAMICS OF THE CHARACTERS ARE LOST. Main characters need to ping off of others to be at least a ‘good show’. And guess what? A show evolves. It may have started off as Sam and Dean, but If it refuses to go into the flow that has been set for it, it feels like back pedaling in a water rapids. It just doesn’t work. Because A. They’re the main fucking characters and you know they’re not going to die/they’ll always be ok despite their mental setbacks/they’re smarter and stronger than they were in seasons 1 and 2. Dean losing his shit? Okay. Sam’s lost his shit but seems fine? ZZZZzzzz…. How many times have they interacted with Leviathans? 3? 4 times? THE REST IS FILLER. Why can’t you see that? This is also why I was so pissed off with how the show dealt with Eve. And the supposed ‘war’ between Supernatural creatures. Or hell. Castiel’s Holy war. It had the potential to be epic. If the basics were covered it could’ve been so much more. I gave the show my half-hearted confidence and I was met with unsurprising disappointment. And Sam’s soul. NOT. ONCE. Have we touched back on Sam’s mental capacity to handle shit besides a touch of the scar here and there. Just…no. The show can drop as many ‘Cas trenchcoat easter egg scenes’ all they want like we’re fucking stupid or something. Hay lookit that guise is that Cas? LOL noooo got youuuu. /shotgun pump And B. You LOSE a HUUUGE chunk of viewers who feel betrayed by crappy death scenes that I bet Edlund was forced to write like that that’s why it felt so fucking jarring. Joy of a character returning has been replaced by sorrow, fear and doubt. And this show seems to get off on this fact. Oh and don’t even get me started on the Leviathans. I don’t buy them for a goddamn second. If there were more dynamics between them I could’ve bought them but as it stands all they represent to me are a bunch of actors that I don’t give two shits about. For fuck’s sake tonight’s episode is about clowns. MOTHERFUCKING CLOWNS. And in the last five minutes maybe there will be something relevant to the Leviathans IF THERE IS SOMETHING AT ALL.
